Dr. Ruth Anne Fraser offers curriculum and professional development support to colleges, universities, business workers, educators and students. Anne designs professional development initiatives and academic curricula to include participants’ lived experiences, which have potential for insight into improved practice and worker satisfaction. Anne and raised in Montréal, Québec, Canada completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Psychology, at Concordia University, Montréal. She holds a Bachelor of Education from the University Of Montréal and obtained her Master of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, where her focus was Curriculum/Measurement and Evaluation of Computer Applications. Dr. Fraser obtained her PhD from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. Anne was awarded the Outstanding Dissertation Award, by the American Educational Research Association (AERA), Narrative and Research Special Interest Group: New York, March 2008.
Dr. Fraser taught in Montréal Elementary and Secondary Schools and, in 1982 re-located to Toronto leaving the position of Development Coordinator at Concordia University. In Toronto, Anne assumed a position at Humber College where she worked for 9 years as both a staff and faculty member within the Business Division. Anne’s self-employment opportunities have led to opportunities for the design, development and delivery of college and university program curricula, faculty in-class observation review processes and professional development seminars. Her research interests include Curriculum Studies, Leadership and Professional Practice, Teaching and Learning, Professional Development, Narrative Inquiry, Business and Society, Needs Assessment and Evaluation and Workplace Discourse.
Dr. Fraser has held a faculty positions at Ryerson University (Administration and Information Management), Brock University (Faculty of Education) and until recently, Dr. Fraser held the position, Educational Support Specialist, at Maxwell College in Belleville, Ontario leading the curriculum development component of the Dental Hygiene accreditation process.
I provide private tutoring in my home to help elementary, high school, college and university students achieve success.
I also work with adult learners who wish to improve their Mathematics and English Language skills.
